"hallelujah, praise the Lord!!!!"

he almost had it...

"im gonna be a..."

BIG BROTHER!!!

That's right folks - Lugg baby #2 is on its way! I am almost 10 weeks along. I'm feeling pretty icky everyday but counting my MANY blessings! I don't feel as bad as I did with Job - BONUS! We are expecting this new little life the end of September. That's right, Job and baby #2 will be about 13.5 months apart! Life will be crazy with a little man who may not even be walking yet and a newborn but we are nothing but overjoyed! We can't wait to meet this new little blessing!

the attempt to fatten this boy up

I took Job to the doctor on Monday for his 6 month check up. He is still in the 75% for height but he dropped from 45% to 25% in weight. The doctor told me her son did the same thing and it was nothing to worry about at this point, but that we should try doing more feedings during the day. So in my attempt to fatten this boy up on milk + veggies, I of course thought of avocados. They are super good for you, easy for little ones to eat, and high in fat... So naturally, lets try it...

Job loves all food, or so we thought. When is came to the avocado, not a big fan. Here is a frame by frame of his HILARIOUS expressions. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!

first he tried to spit it out...

"I guess I will try it again"

"I hate it so much mama, I am going to gag!"

"and keep gagging"

(this picture reminds me of "Elf" when he sprays the fruit spray in his mouth) :)

"thank you for not making me eat anymore!"

I was laughing so hard by the end that Job started laughing too! He thinks he is SO FUNNY! (and he is!)

boston cream pie made simple

Growing up, this was one of my family's favorite dessert. I think it was a close contender to dirt and worms (chocolate pudding + crushed Oreos + Cool Whip + of coarse gummy worms). We like our dessert. So without farther ado, I give you:

now, who wouldn't want a bite of that?

Boston Cream Pie
1 pk of instant vanilla pudding (made to box instructions)
Cool Whip
gram crackers
milk chocolate frosting

That's it folks. Just mix the vanilla pudding with the Cool Whip. Place a single layer of gram crackers in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Put half of the vanilla mixture on top of the gram crackers. Spread evenly over the whole thing. Repeat. So now you have two layers of gram crackers and two layers of pudding mix. For good measure, go ahead and place one more layer of gram crackers. This time cover the top with the frosting and refrigerate overnight. This is the hardest part. Waiting at least 12 hours before digging in. Really try to resist. It's in those 12 hours the magic takes place. You won't regret the wait!

The next day, take it out and enjoy. Try not to eat the whole thing in one sitting! :) Hope you like it as much as we do!

6 months old

How is my baby 6 months old already? It seems just like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He is such a joy! Ian and I were just saying how he is such a ham! He has a great belly laugh and smile! He is VERY verbal, lots of "dah dah dah dah", squeals, and giggles. His newest thing is shaking his head repeatedly. He thinks he's so funny!

He has also turned into quite the snuggle bug these days. I am not sure if he just isn't feeling %100 or if he just really loves me. He has even fallen asleep on me a few times this week. SO SWEET!

We love our little man and can't wait to see how the Lord is going to use this little joy!
