Just a little heads up...

I have gotten quite large and before I come home to WA and scare you all... I thought I'd share a picture of cute Ruthie ;) in my big belly. Be warned :)

Here I am at 30 weeks, up 20 lbs and ready to meet our little girl!
(I figure I will want to remember those details in pregnancies to come)

ps- do you like our blue painters tape covering the gaping hole in the wall where our new lovely trim (made by my handy handsome husband) will someday be? We thought if you visit you might like a little privacy while using our restroom :)

Careful while you post...

While I was posting that last picture job got a little cereal happy! He did try to put some back in the box for me, very kind of him :) he is having a feast of O's right now! :)

Model Job

Not sure if Job likes being Ruthie's model while she's an inside baby... Just saying. And I think I may have gone a little flower happy there! :)

when its 100 degrees...

...and you don't have a pool, you pull out the bathtub and put your cute little naked kid in it to stay cool. We only lasted about 20 minutes because I was SO hot! As you can see from the pictures, first Job hated the idea... but he grew to love it :)

cranky pants

i think he liked sucking on the bubble wand more then he liked the bubbles

does this make us rednecks?
(kid in the bathtub in the front yard)

we had to add some ice cubes to keep the water cool enough. job liked sucking on them

trying to keep that big ol' ice cube in his mouth

BONUS SHOTS... we went on a walk the other day and Ian got some great pictures! I had to share a couple...

meal planning

Being BIG pregnant with #2 has made me tired and hard to motivate! So to help me, I have made myself a little checklist of things I have to get done every week to keep on the fridge. So, in an effort to get organized, we have started meal planning along with that checklist.

at +25 weeks (I told you I was BIG pregnant... and this pic made me look the smallest) :)
So this week was the first week of meal planning at the Lugg house! I thought I was going to hate it... but I was VERY wrong! So far so good. I have never done a meal plan because I want to eat what I want to eat, when I want to eat it :) (Spoken from a true pregnant lady!) But, I found out, if the fridge says it's crunchwrap night, I want crunchwraps :) Who knew? Here is a little example of our week's menu:

m: pizza hut personal pizzas
t: crunchwraps
w: country club chicken +veggies on the side
t: chicken quesadilla + ranch
f: burger of some sort for me + braut for my man + corn on the cob

I of course make modifications to every recipe, because I can. But the links above are at least my starting point. This week was not so healthy... but I really wanted to try out some new recipes. Next week will be MUCH healthier.

This reminder app makes grocery shopping so much easier!
(and yes, I need felt at the grocery store) :)

Its been fun finding new recipes on pinterest and then trying them out. I have been a little recipe happy when it comes to my pinterest. :) Now you know why.

PS - LOOK WHAT MY AMAZING HUSBAND MADE ME!!!!
I love them so much! He's the bestest!

its official and im sad...

Job is done nursing. I am sad but am so thankful for the 9, almost 10, months I got to nurse him. I can't wait to nurse my little girl and any other kiddos the Lord blesses us with! As a wise woman once said "The only thing worse then a boy who leaves, is one who doesn't." I don't know about you, but I don't know any men who are leaving their home and still nursing. This is just one step closer to our little man leaving, and that's a good thing. :)

In all the projects my mom, Ian, and I did, I think this is the one that had the most impact on the room! I love how it turned out.

the nursery

While my mom was here we cranked out some projects! On the docket was painting the nursery. Here are some before and after pictures. What a difference it makes to paint the walls! Now we will have to add a little pink to the room for little Ruthie.

the BIG announcement!

You've all been waiting for the BIG news...
Is it a boy or a girl?

The votes here where as follow:
Ian: Girl
Kim: Boy
Grandma (Weinberg): Boy
Job: Girl (we placed a pink and a blue cupcake in front of him and the one he ate first was his guess)

"mmm! I love me some pink cupcake!"
The results are in folks. We are happy to announce:

IT'S A GIRL!!!! We are so excited to welcome Ruthie Grace into our home sometime near the end of September.

"YAY!!! I get a sister!!!!"

Everything in the ultrasound looked great! She weighs about 8oz and is measuring right on track. Her heart rate was low like her momma's, 138. She was sucking her thumb just like Jobie was in his ultrasound. So fun. We can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy!

the outtakes

Here are a few outtakes from our little photo shoot on Sunday. Hope you enjoy...

"I love this paper!!!! mmm good"

I tried sticking the ultrasound on his forehead to see what he would do... Here he is trying to get it off. It's very entertaining, at least for his parents :)

"hallelujah, praise the Lord!!!!"

he almost had it...

but then he just gave up and became grumpy :)
